Procurement and contracts action plan

The P&C Action Plan below provides the details of what our function will seek to achieve over the next 5 years. An Action Tracker will be used to monitor our progress through the year.

Theme 1: Sustainability & biodiversity resilience

Action: Ensure compliance with sustainability legislation across all relevant P&C activities

Short-term goal: Review P&C practices against current sustainability legislations

Medium term goal (1–3 years): Update procedures to reflect best practice

Long term goal (3–5 years): Maintain alignment with evolving sustainability legislation across procurement and grants

Action objective / corporate metrics: NRW consistently meets and applies sustainability legislation across procurement, contracts and grants, ensuring all activity demonstrably supports statutory environmental outcomes.

P&C metrics / measure of success:

• % of P&C agreements activity meeting defined sustainability compliance.
