Change an installation permit

Use this service to apply to change an installation permit.

You can only change one permit per application, this can include:

administrative changes, such as updating a name or contact details, where the organisation has not legally changed
adding or removing people, organisations or companies named on the permit
changing permit conditions or site operations
changing site boundaries
adding or changing emissions to air, water, land, or sewer
increasing or decreasing site capacity
updating management plans or environmental assessments

Before you start

You will need:

your permit number
any pre-application advice reference number, if you have one
details of the person, organisation or company that should be named on the permit
details of any new contact information
information about any relevant convictions, insolvency or bankruptcy proceedings for anyone being added to the permit
evidence of technical competence and qualifications, where required

a non-technical summary
an environmental risk assessment
Best Available Techniques assessments
an energy efficiency report
site plans showing boundaries or emission points
odour, noise or accident management plans
ISO 14001 certificate details
information about any money set aside to cover costs for landfill sites or mining waste operations

The fee to make an administrative change to an installation permit is £651.
