As a potential marine licence applicant, you are entitled to two hours free general pre-application advice with our marine licensing team.

It allows you to get answers to questions about the licensing process before you apply.

You may want to use this service if:

• You're not sure which band your project belongs in, or if the project might be exempt from needing a licence
• You're not sure whether the location of your project means you'll be working within a sensitive site
• You have started preparing the required documents for your application, but need clarification on something in order to complete them
• You want to check that you have prepared all the relevant documents
• You want to check which are the relevant consultees for your application
  
  

Bespoke advice

If you need bespoke advice that's tailored to your project, this is available at a rate of £120 per hour.

You will need to use this service if you have detailed questions relating to the specific work you want to carry out.
