Licences you need from us to rehabilitate, rear or release certain wild birds.

Check the general licences

We issue general licences for certain people to rehabilitate and release certain birds.

You do not need to apply for a general licence.

You must read it fully and be able to comply with all of the terms and conditions. 

General licence 007: Licence to keep wild birds of species listed on schedule 4 for rehabilitation.

General licence 009: Licence to release wild-bred schedule 9 birds.

If you cannot comply with the conditions, you must apply for a specific bird licence.
