Species licensing: People named on a licence
All people named on a licence have a legal responsibility to comply with the licence and its conditions.
Lead licensee
Usually the owner or occupier of the property or land or someone who needs licensable activities to be carried out.
Licensed nominated ecologist
The person named on the licence to provide ecological expertise. They are named on the licence and are authorised by the licence holder to carry out work related to the species covered by the licence.
Licensed accredited agent
This is someone authorised by the lead licensee or licenced nominated ecoligist to carry out ecological work under the licence. They must be qualified and experienced. They can work without the ecologist being present.
Licensed authorised person
This is someone authorised by the lead licensee to carry out licensable activties on bird control licences.
Licensed assistants
A person who helps with licensed activities. They must be supervised at all times by someone named on the licence.
